Get access to a large virtual instrument library consisting of 150 third-party instruments and 30 symphonic organs. Choose between Baroque, Theater, Symphonic and Classical sound. Adjust sound pitch and temperament and select between 512 audio channels.
Hauptwerk is a complex pipe organ modeling and per-pipe sound shaping program. Hauptwerk includes a 30 stop English symphonic organ recorded from St. Anne's, Moseley in Birmingham, England. It also models all of the physical controls and functional details of a pipe organ. The main console screen shows you a photo-realistic representation of the console, and allows you full control over the virtual organ in the same way that you would control the original instrument.

Hauptwerk Free Edition 4.2.1.3 is the last free Hauptwerk full version. So latter versions will not be available for free.
Though there are several free soundsets available on the web, mostly these sets are unusable for Free Edition, because there are some restrictions:
- The program can load sound sets up to 1.5 GB size at a time, so you might have to disable some ranks (as I remember, total sample set size is max 4 GB)
- Polyphony is limited to 256 voices / pipes
- 24-bit or 32-bit samples sets will work fully, but can be loaded in a maximum of 16-bit resolution
- Non commercial, home personal use only
However, I like Hauptwerk organ because it sounds great.
Thank you for publishing Hauptwerk. I appreciate your work. Several samplesets have been released over the years and with numerous updates, this version cannot load the latest samplesets in hand.
Would be great if you could upload the latest version of Hauptwerk, which is probably think to be Hauptwerk Version 8. But with the ilok technology, things have been made difficult. I hope you will take steps to come up with version 8.
